Top 10 Scents Ordered by US Prisoners

New York: Gold Star Fragrances, Inc., a leading wholesaler and retailer of discount designer fragrances based on major brands, has released its top 10 list of perfumes purchased by prisoners. These statistics are based on sales to both men and women incarcerated in United States prisons.

"While sales to prisoners make up only a small percentage of overall sales, they are significant enough to have a full-time person dedicated to handling prison orders," said Vice President of Sales Lee Ben. According to current statistics, there are over 2 million prisoners incarcerated in America. Surprisingly, this is more prisoners than in China or Russia. Recent statistics stated that there are approximately 190,000 women and 1.9 million men behind bars in US.

"Most sales are small orders and placed by the prisoner or by family members," stated Ben. Top fragrances purchased by prisoners are as follows- For Men; Egyptian Musk, Sandalwood, Blue Nile, Jasmine and Frankincense while for women, these are Patti La Belle, Red Door, Paris Hilton, White Diamond and White Linen.
